Micam A/W 18/19 Key Footwear Trends

The leading footwear tradeshow Micam took place earlier this month where brands shoe-cased their latest styles for the upcoming season. Here are our top three footwear trends for next winter.

GalacticFuturistic and galactic finishes and surfaces could be seen in abundance. A more sophisticated move on from the glitter seen last season which had a party-specific appeal. All over crystals, metallic and more sophisticated glitters were all seen from everyday footwear styles through to evening glam.

The Victorian BootOne of the biggest growing footwear trends in the lace-up Victorian boot. Micam brands were seen giving this style a modern-day update in new fabrications such as velvet, jacquards and suedes. Heel heights were kept comfortable with block mid heels being the predominant style.

The Western BootAnother surprising boot trend that is growing is the Western-inspired boot however, it is no longer being styled to its traditional heritage handwriting. Brands were seen adding some fashion flair to designs through embellishment and high block heels making this style feel very new. More traditional versions were still seen however they were kept quite minimally designed placing more focus on the silhouette.
