Autumn Winter 18/19 women’s Trend Flash!

The BDA London team have put together a great trend report with their take on the 5 top trends across New York, London, Milan and Paris Autumn Winter 2018:

An exciting non-stop Fashion Month has just come to an end, and here are the five consistent trends that we saw dominating the runways across all four cities.

Colour: GreenGreen was a favourite among designers this season, taking on a number of tones and hues, the colour was the key focal point of each of the ensembles it adorned.

Fabric: Satin

Rich and intense satins were seen across all the catwalks in each city this past month. The lavish fabric instantaneously breathing life into each of the looks it was featured on.

Print & Patterns: Animal Prints

Animal prints returned strongly for AW18, shown in both classic and artificial colourways, and updated seasonal tones.

Details: Cinched Waists

Among the sea of masculine shapes and tailoring this fashion month, a key detail that stood out on the catwalks was the belted cinched waist, which re-introduced a touch of femininity to the runways.

Silhouettes: Blanket poncho

The blanket poncho was a surprisingly popular addition to the runways this season. Adding a sense of fashionably effortless comfort with its loose and fluid design.
