Berlin SS18 Tradeshows: Menswear Sports Detailing

Sportswear Updates from the team in Berlin is looking decidedly Fresh with an old school feel, appealing to the Originals and those new customers keen to connect with Authenticity.

Stripped Back Branding

Sportswear is taking a look backwards, with designs reflecting a simpler time for Spring Summer 2018, with a stripped back, clean aesthetic. By simplifying branding and adornment, sportswear brands such as Fila, Gio Goi and Ellese are getting back to their roots and streamlining their offering, yet still packing a punch with lifestyle led, athleisure heavy look books, providing customers with more than just a product, but a way of life.

Sporting Side Stripes

Providing an update to the classic stripe, simple side stripes appear across the SS18 sportswear and athleisure offering at Seek and Bright, Berlin. Whilst widely available in primary colours, Champion displayed acid brights, with their logo mounted on side stripes and vertical stripes as jacket cuff detailing, paying homage to the brands’ more old school, retro silhouettes, emphasising their authentic athleisure heritage but with these modern updates.

Block Primaries

At Seek and Bright, there was clear trend forecasting confirmation of block primary colouring from Gio-Goi, K Swiss and Adidas Originals who all utilised block colouring in their basic commodity, continuity pieces and athleisure fashion forward collections.  Indigo and navy were used as base colours in wardrobe suggestions with bright yellows and bold red adding an injection of visual excitement.
